But if a Sim is repairing an electrical object while standing on a puddle, they will always get electrocuted. And it will always result in death.

In The Sims 2, one of the ways to get an electric shock is by repairing broken electronic objects with low mechanical skill. With Sims 2: Free Time this can also happen when Sims Thinker with the object. Higher risk of an electric shock have Sims with low mechanical skill. The electric shock will cause a large drop in all of a Sim's needs. Sims will be left with burnt hair and bad memory. Sometimes an electric shock can cause a fire.
